Twang Partners, a San Antonio salt and sugar manufacturer, launches “Caliente 86”, a new Hot Lime Beer Salt flavor; the hottest item used to boost beer profits.
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 13, 2011) – Twang Partners, a San Antonio-based company specializing in flavored salts and sugars, celebrates a quarter century of success by announcing the newest addition to its highly popular Beer Salt line: “Caliente 86”. With its bold, spicy hot lime flavor, “Caliente 86” is the latest addition to the Twang Beer Salt family, which includes Lime and Lemon/Lime.
Inspired by the Tex-Mex tradition of adding citrus and salt to beer, Twang flavored beer salts have been a staple ingredient for beer drinkers and bartenders across the southwest United States for more than two decades. In the early 80s, Twang founder Roger Treviño Sr. observed how beer drinkers attempted to enhance the flavor of their favorite beer and realized there was a potential demand in the U.S. market for a flavored beer salt product. Thus was born the idea of Twang Beer Salt and the design of the signature mini-Twang beer bottle shaker.
