Robert Plotkin's take on Cocktail Spice Lemon-Lime Margarita Sea Salt

TWANG RIMMING SALTS

The Margarita has enjoyed far more than its allotted fifteen minutes of fame.  In fact, it continually ranks as the most frequently requested cocktail in America.  However, relying solely on its popularity to keep your coffers full won't necessarily cut it.  The Margarita is too prevalent of a cocktail to serve your guests the same thing your competitors do.  Before sending your signature margaritas out in public dressed with an ordinary rim of coarse salt, make sure they look as fabulous as they taste by rimming the glasses with COCKTAIL SPICE:  LEMON-LIME MARGARITA SEA SALT.

The fashion police at the Twang company of San Antonio have solved the problem of the under-dressed Margarita.  Now you can embellish your specialties in the style they deserve with designer salts.  The Company's Lemon-Lime Margarita Sea Salt is a colorful mixture of coarse citrus-flavored sea slat ideally suited for drink presentation.  It adds a tangy, tart flavor that ordinary salt can't muster.

Twang also markets COCKTAIL SPICE:  CHILI-LIME BLOODY MARY SEA SALT, a deliciously intense blend of ancho chili peppers and sea salt.  Its distinctive look and savory flavor make it perfect for embellishing Margaritas, as well as Bloody Marys and Micheladas.

Troops Receiving Twang Products Overseas!

Karon Carley, National President
Operation Interdependence

Dear Twang Team:

This past week I attended Country Jam in Mack Colorado on behalf of our organization that supports the troops.
I noticed your company giving away small samples of beer salt and other flavored salts. I opened one of the lime beer salt packages and was thrilled with the taste I got just buy putting a little on my finger to taste.

Now let me quickly explain why I’m emailing you about this.

Operation Interdependence is a 501C3 nonprofit all volunteer organization that sends Civilian Rations® to 25,000 plus troops each month around the world but especially to the war zones. We put 50 C-rats® (a quart bag with a note from home and several small comfort items) into a box and send to commanders so everyone in the unit gets a package from home each month they are deployed, no one is left out. For many it is the only communication they receive from home. Check out our website at www.oidelivers.org we have for 10 years been serving our military community by sending over 2 million Civilian Rations®.

I’m sure you are aware that the troops deployed into the desert areas really need salt and what a great way for them to get some of their salt allotment than in our condiment packages that have your flavored salt. Not only does it give them salt it also lets them flavor some of the foods that are so bland and it comes from home to top it off.

If I might be so bold as to make a couple of suggestions.

1.  Right now the southern part of Texas including San Antonio is holding an “Operation Care Drop” drive for Operation Interdependence, collecting products to send to the troops. The drive runs through July 4th. If you will donate a case of two of your salts I will be happy to give you the Texas manager’s name, email and phone so you can make arrangements to get some sample packages to her.

2.  Grand Junction Colorado is the next largest unit that ships to the troops. We have a warehouse we work from. If you could see your way clear to also send to the Colorado warehouse a case or two of the salts that means you would be reaching nearly all the 25,000 plus troops that all of Operation Interdependence ships to each month.

If you will consider the suggestions above just email me at carley@oidelivers.org for more information.

I’m really excited at the thoughts of our troops receiving some of your salts. I hope you will consider helping them out by donating them to Operation Interdependence.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Karon Carley, CEO/President
& Area Manager
Grand Junction, CO

Twang Beer Salt at Country Jam in Grand Junction Colorado!

This year’s Country Jam was a blast.  This 4-day concert was held in the western part of Colorado in the city of Grand Junction. Featuring some obvious favorites, Lady Antebellum, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Neal McCoy packed the grounds along with 16 other local and upcoming bands that rocked the mountain skyline.  This was Twang’s second music fest to attend and we covered a lot ground.  We were able to sample, entertain, and do some educating on our Twang Beer Salt to many Colorado’s locals and some travelers from every part of the nation.

More or less, about half already knew what Twang Beer Salt was, and those that didn’t were almost immediate Twang users on the spot that weekend!  Some were a little apprehensive at first, taking one or two sample packets, then after tasting it and learning how to use it,  would almost immediately come back to load up for the rest of the day and for the parties that would go on throughout the night.

A crowd favorite was the “It’s Not Going to Lick Itself!” tee shirts, not to mention the other cool stuff that we were giving away at the event.  (koozies, keychains, other apparel, etc.)  It’s always fun when you are the only vendor at event’s like this one giving away free stuff.

Thank you Colorado for having Twang part of your event, we had a blast and we look forward to seeing you at other events like this one and at next year’s Country Jam.
